Quartz Lumps for semiconductors
Vstake Overseas is a leading exportera of high quality quartz lumps for semiconductors.
Quartz lumps are the basic raw material source of high purity SiO2 for the manufacturing of semiconductors. This high grade quartz lumps are procesed to make silicon metal and eventually used in the manufacturing of semiconductors.
How Quartz Lumps Are Used in Semiconductor Manufacturing
Silicon metal is made by heating quartz lumps at high temprure of around 1800°C to 2000°C. This silicon metal is then used in the production of polycrystally silicon when is later used in semiconductors.
High-purity quartz is used to create crucibles for the Czochralski (CZ) process, where molten silicon is held to grow monocrystalline silicon ingots which are furhter cut into thin wafers for semiconductor chips.
SiO2 derived is then used as. an insulating layer on semiconductor waters serving as a dielectric in MOS delives like MOSFET.
